Chardonnay 2021, Margaret River
As usual, this is rich and ripe, voluptuous even, but it curves back with the firm thread of acidity restraining it. Full of lemon-lime bitters, stone fruit and honeydew, ginger spice and lots of creamy les filling out the palate. Then wham! The acidity says stop. Screw cap. 13.5% alc.

VR Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Margaret River
The oak is seamlessly integrated into the body of the wine. And true to Pierro style, it's medium weighted. Yes, some woodsy spices and cedary notes but merely a seasoning. There's a five-spice character, fresh tobacco, mocha and cassis - complex and detailed. The palate is finely tuned to the finish. Screw cap. 14% alc. RATING % DRINK 2022-2038 $132 JF
VR Chardonnay 2019, Margaret River
A style that is reminiscent of a soliloquy, delivered confidently, as this stands alone, stylistically unconcerned with all others around it. Pristine fruit bathed in vanillin, cedary oak, ginger spice and clotted cream. The palate has depth, somewhat expansive yet it follows a linear path of acidity. It's complex, detailed and stamped Pierro. Screw cap. 13.5% alc.

L.T.Cf. Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2019, Margaret River
Ethereal, lighter framed and a lovely drink. Full of raspberry leaves, just-ripe blackberries, pops of spice and the distinct Margaret River fragrance - it's a native bush character and very pleasing. Lithe tannins and a gentleness across the palate make this ready to enjoy now. Screw cap. 14% alc.

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2019, Margaret River
A beautifully modulated wine highlighting the fineness and elegance of the Pierro style. Never showy or loud. They are distinctive. All the best regional and varietal components are neatly combined and flow across the just medium-bodied palate. It's fragrant, the tannins are fine yet shapely and the pomegranate-like acidity keeps the length going. Screw cap. 14% alc.
